Geraldine, it was my pleasure to review your book!

Caroline, there's so much to explore in this book! I've only tried about 10-15 recipes, and there is so much more to play with! :D

JLB, great review. My husband & I have enjoyed quite a few recipes from NJFV. Off the top of my head...enjoyed very much the potato pie & the hummus. I'm not much of a baker but I definitely need to try some of the breads!

Thanks for the thoughtful and positive review Jade.

You have brought out a number of points re: NJFV that to date have not been mentioned in the numerous reviews already written about NJFV, in particular the strong family and friend ties that are evident throughout.

NJFV was truly a labour of love, capturing several of our family favs. sans the meat, but keeping all the home-style flavour and goodness.

A note about the index, this was done by a professional indexing person but I would have appreciated having a few more cross-references for ingredients as well. Glad you didn't consider this a negative, albeit small that it is.
