What a great post JL, with lots of excellent suggestions. I love to declutter and keep things neat. It gives me a contented feeling far beyond the simple pleasure of just gazing at a freshly cleaned room/house.

I also love giving things away. One person’s junk, another one’s treasure, right!

Hi Jade,

What a wonderful way to “detoxify” your life. It makes me feel better by just reading this.

I am a true “pack rat”. At the time I buy I know there is a purpose for everything I am loading and unloading. At one point I was known as the “Gaget Queen” because whatever would need to be done-I had the gaget to do it.

If I may suggest, as you are sorting through your excess stuff and you are up to doing it, have a garage sale. Doesn’t have to be a long drawn out process. One day and with all that extra money you can buy what you truly need with the extra cash. Then donate everything that is left.

You have motivated me to start de-cluttering today.
